GigaCom nominated for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50
GigaCom Benelux has been nominated for Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 2026, which ranks the fastest-growing technology companies in Belgium by revenue growth over the past four years.
The world's first automated street cabinet for open-access FTTH. Affordable, reliable and scalable patching and testing, without a truck roll.
The Semi-Automated Optical Distribution Frame combines a passive ODF, a robotic active layer and integrated test access in one cabinet.

Layers 1 to 7 are monitored and automated. The fiber layer still depends on paper records, site visits and technicians in vans.

From one street cabinet to a nationwide FTTH roll-out.
Today's network management software automates layers 1 to 7. The physical fiber layer, purely optical and passive, still runs on manual records, visual inspection and truck rolls. We built the SAODF to change that.
The lack of reliable, cost-effective fiber switching is the main hurdle for Layer-0 automation. The Semi-Automated Optical Distribution Frame solves it.
Incoming cables are spliced and terminated to a connector, like a traditional ODF. Smart patchcord slack management keeps the flexibility point neat for the lifetime of the product.
Robotics reconfigure the network without manual intervention or a truck roll. Install on day one, automate later, or automate temporarily.
A probe on the robotic head gives intrusive or non-intrusive test access to every port: OTDR, optical power and visual fault locator.
Combined with OTDRs, visual fault locators, optical power meters, servers, alarm management and a northbound interface to existing OSS, the SAODF brings the physical layer into the same software that manages the rest of the network.
The system is modular. There is never a one-size-fits-all solution, so we work closely with our partners to design the most efficient setup for each operator: from 144 fibers spliced into a street cabinet, to a 1152-port datacenter rack, to a meet-me room controlling 4608 connections.
For telecom operators, cable MSOs, datacenters and ISPs, automating the physical layer pays off across the whole network lifecycle.
Fewer field personnel. That is the estimate of a major Western-European telecom operator if its physical fiber layer were automated. Patching becomes a point-and-click job, and one technician with a smartphone can check alarms, take OTDR traces or light a port red, instead of working in two-person crews.
Fiber certification runs automatically overnight, with pass/fail reports ready before technicians arrive. Service activation needs no truck roll and no CO2 emissions. Upgrades and 1:N redundancy become simple.
Minutes instead of days. Temporary links for events, dark fiber leased by the hour, bandwidth calendaring, and switching an open-access customer between providers without two truck rolls.
Compare a new OTDR trace with the reference and send the right person to the right place. In open-access networks it's clear within minutes who needs to act.
Every provisioning, disconnection and test is logged with date, time and user ID, with real-time views of alarms, configuration and users.
Cords never tangle, drawers are never left open, dust caps are always placed and the correct port is always patched.
Every building block of the Semi-Automated Fiber Management & Test System, from the passive frame to the software that orchestrates it.
A full optical distribution frame that works on its own, and the foundation for the robot.
Incoming cables are spliced and terminated to a connector, just like a traditional ODF. A smart patchcord slack management system eliminates entangling of the cords and creates a neat flexibility point over the entire lifetime of the product.
The passive layer grows with the application and keeps full functionality independent of any active component. Start passive, and add the robotics when you need them.

The connector modules terminate the incoming and outgoing fibers on a connector, and are installed inside the passive frames.

OSP cables are spliced to the pre-stubbed connector modules on splicing trays.
Gigacom also offers the possibility of off-the-frame splicing.
The GCAODF active layer allows (re)configuration and test access of the physical fiber layer without manual intervention or a truck roll.

Patchcords and break-out cables designed for ultra-compact fiber slack management.

SAFM&TS configures and orchestrates all building blocks of a complete Semi-Automated Fiber Management & Test System.
Every manipulation on the network, whether provisioning, disconnection or test, is logged automatically with date, time and user ID.
From our headquarters in Belgium, and in close collaboration with local partners, we serve more than 20 countries with end-to-end solutions for the physical layer of fiber networks.
Gigacom Benelux develops, markets and sells the Semi-Automated Fiber Management & Test System: robotic optical distribution frames, test and measurement gear, and management software.
Every deployment is different. We work with partners to design the most efficient solution for the operator's challenge.
From one SAODF in a test lab to a nationwide FTTH roll-out, the system scales with the network.
Northbound interfacing to existing OSS, a RESTful API and compatibility with industry-standard OTDRs.
Local presence through an established name in the fiber industry.

In Cologne, Gigacom and Netceed showed a patch robot built for mass deployment for the first time. The automated street cabinet (FDH in the US, PMZ in France) is scalable, reliable and affordable, passes up to 1100 homes in a compact footprint and is available 24/7 for patching and testing. Also presented at the FTTH Conference in Berlin.

The GC-OCT splitter module integrates splitters inside the SAODF frame without sacrificing density. With the centralized splitter and test probe, a simple point-to-point measurement replaces complex algorithms, expensive OTDRs and high-reflective devices.
Latest developments in robotic optical distribution frames and automated test access. Hall 8, booth D71.
The robotic ODF is now compatible with ultra-high-density duplex connectivity, used in datacenter and dark-fiber networks. Ultra-high fiber count, true any-to-any connectivity can be automated.
For datacenter customers, an 1152-port version inside a typical server rack. MTP connector blocks allow seamless integration into any structured cabling system.
